Where Learning Blooms
At Blossoming Imaginations, our days are rooted in outdoor nature exploration, active project-based learning, and child-led discovery that sparks curiosity and creativity. Through this engaging, hands-on approach, we support each child’s whole growth—mind, heart, and character—with a long-term vision to grow into a full K–5 program.
We are a blossoming, non-denominational, faith-centered microschool where character and learning come together naturally. Rather than a traditional school with a rigid, Bible-based curriculum, we cultivate a warm, grace-filled environment where prayer, kindness, gratitude, and the joyful celebration of holidays like Christmas and Easter are a natural part of our daily rhythm.
Nurturing Growth, Together
Blossoming Imaginations is a morning microschool designed to bridge the gap for families who want the freedom of homeschooling but face the challenge of managing it all.
Our program is built to take on the heavy lifting of core academic instruction during our morning sessions, providing a strong foundation that you can easily reinforce at home. By blending structured core learning with hands-on, nature-based project work and peer socialization, we fill in the gaps that can be difficult to recreate in a solo home environment.
How We Grow Bright Minds
Our mission is to create a warm, close-knit space where every child’s unique way of learning is celebrated. By focusing on hands-on experiences and learning that is tailored to each child, we build strong academic foundations while nurturing the curiosity and confidence they need to love learning for life.
The Soil We Grow In
For a child to truly blossom, they need the right environment to take root. Our educational philosophy steps away from rigid desks and heavy worksheets. Instead, we combine intentional, teacher-led instruction with rich opportunities for child-led discovery, outdoor nature study, and collaborative projects. Within this active space, we gently weave in character-building values, kindness, and gratitude, ensuring our children grow up with strong minds and kind hearts.
Meet our Founder
Chavon is the founder and lead teacher of Blossoming Imaginations. She believes that children learn best by doing, which inspired her to create a school that allows children to explore and be creative through hands-on activities. As a former teacher, she believes that every child learns in their own way and deserves teaching that reflects their unique strengths.
With a background in graphic communications and animation, she is passionate about storytelling, creativity, and helping ideas come to life. She also has experience teaching both Pre-K and kindergarten in a private school setting. She is currently a few classes away from completing her Master’s degree in Teaching Elementary Education at Liberty University. As a parent herself, she is deeply committed to building a school she would wholeheartedly choose for her own child. Rather than delay opening the school, she chose to begin now so she could intentionally create the kind of engaging, supportive learning environment she wants for her daughter as she starts kindergarten in the 2026–2027 school year—and for every child who becomes part of the school community.
When she’s not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her family, practicing pilates, baking and decorating cookies, crocheting, painting with watercolors, doing DIY projects, and spending time outdoors. She also enjoys volunteering at a local non-profit organization that supports women and children in crisis.
Through Blossoming Imaginations, Chavon is excited to partner with families to cultivate a learning community where every child’s imagination, curiosity, and unique strengths are celebrated. Her goal is to create an environment where children not only gain strong academic foundations but also develop confidence, creativity, and a love of discovery that will guide them far beyond the classroom.
