Our Mission
Blossoming Imaginations is committed to creating a learning environment where children explore, create, and grow through hands-on experiences. The program supports curiosity, creativity, and strong foundational skills while honoring each child’s unique way of learning. Our goal is to nurture confidence, instill Christian values, and a lifelong love of discovery.
Creativity and imagination in learning
Hands-on, experiential learning
Supporting each child’s unique strengths
Chavon Parker is the owner and Director of Blossoming Imaginations. She believes that children learn best by doing, which inspired her to create a school that allows children to explore and be creative through hands-on activities. As a former teacher and someone with dyslexia, she has seen that many schools still use a cookie-cutter approach. She believes that every child learns in their own way and deserves teaching that reflects their unique strengths.
With a background in graphic communications and animation, she is passionate about storytelling, creativity, and helping ideas come to life. She also has experience teaching both Pre-K and kindergarten in a private school setting. Through her work with children, volunteering in school communities, and facilitating learning in professional environments, she has developed a deep commitment to creating classrooms where curiosity, creativity, and strong foundational skills grow together. She is currently two classes away from completing her Master’s degree in Teaching Elementary Education at Liberty University. As a parent herself, she is deeply committed to building a school she would wholeheartedly choose for her own child. Rather than delay opening the school, she chose to begin now so she could intentionally create the kind of engaging, supportive learning environment she wants for her daughter as she starts kindergarten in the 2026–2027 school year—and for every child who becomes part of the school community.
Chavon believes children learn best through hands-on learning in small-group settings, where curiosity, creativity, and exploration can thrive. Inspired by the principles of Experiential Learning and the developmental research of Jean Piaget, this approach encourages children to discover, build, and learn by doing—helping them develop confidence, a deeper understanding, and a lifelong love of learning.
When she’s not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her family, practicing pilates, baking and decorating cookies, crocheting, painting with watercolors, doing DIY projects, and spending time outdoors. She also enjoys volunteering at a local non-profit organization that supports women and children in crisis.
Through Blossoming Imaginations, Chavon is excited to partner with families to cultivate a learning community where every child’s imagination, curiosity, and unique strengths are celebrated. Her goal is to create an environment where children not only gain strong academic foundations but also develop confidence, creativity, and a love of discovery that will guide them far beyond the classroom.
